The genera name after Stephan Ladislaus Endlicher, 1804-1849, an Austrian botanist who formulated a major system of plant classification. The species name means 'upright' for its growing form. The new stem will grow to half a meter and set flowers. Then the leaf will come. I cut it back one year, and exactly the same happened once again! The flowers are very small cup-formed.
