PACHYPODIUM AMBONGENSE

This member of the Apocynaceae family was given this name by Henri Louis Poisson in 1924. It is found in western Madagascar, growing in a rich but well drained soil with some to lots of water and some to lots of sun. The stem can grow from ten up to 40 centimetres in diameter and usual one meter but even two metres in height. The flowers are white with a yellow centre.
