This member of the Pedaliaceae family was described by Joseph Dalton Hooker in 1869. It's from South Africa, growing in a well-drained soil or grit with some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to twelve centimetres, the branches up to 45 centimetres in height. The flowers are yellow to pink with white throat. Difficult plant to cultivate, quiet easy from seeds.
