This member of the Portulacaceae family was given this name Gilberto Ocampo in 2002. It is found in Mexico, grows to 15 centimetres height with a caudex of four centimetres, and the flowers are pale yellow. It thrives in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun.
The genera name from Greek ephemoros; 'living for a day' and anthos; 'flower'. The species name means 'turnip-shaped' for the root. Photo by Marco Hijuelos The seeds, grit 5 mm.
