Peperomia scutellifolia, by mistake?
This member of the Peperomiaceae family was given this name by Ruiz López and José Antonio Pavon in 1798. It is found in Peru, growing in a well drained soil with some water and little to some sun. The caudex can grow to three centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to fourteen centimetres in height. The flowers are greenish.
The genera name means 'pepper-like', not as to appearance but as to kinship. The species name means 'leaves like Scutellaria ', a member of the Lamiaceae family.
