PELARGONIUM WORCESTERAE

This member of the Geraniaceae family was given this name by Reinhard Gustav Paul Knuth in 1907. It is found around Port Elizabeth in the south western part of South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and some sun. The caudex can grow to five centimetres in diameter, the plant reach up to 20 centimetres, 50 centimetres with the inflorescence, which are white.

The genera name from Greek; pelargos; 'stork' for the ripening fruits, which resembles the bills of storks. The species name as it is found near Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa.
