This member of the Amaryllidaceae family was given this name by Deidré Anne Snijman in 2005. It is found in southern Namibia, growing in a well drained soil like gravel with some water and some to lots of sun. The bulb can grow to three centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to 18 centimetres in height. The flowers are white to pink.

The genera name from Namaqua desert region. The species name honours Dr. Peter Vincent Bruyns, 1957-, a South African botanist, who discovered this species. This is a winter-grower, flowering in late autumn. This look like the right flower from - well, somewhere on the web. Not much to choose from...
