This member of the Geraniaceae family was given this name by Focke Albers in 1996. It is found in southern Namibia and the Cape Province in South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with little to some water and lots of sun. The stems will grow up to five centimetres in diameter and 40 centimetres long. The flowers are from pale yellow to pale pink. The genera is named for Lady Ann Monson, 18th century plant collector on the Cape of Good Hope and in Bengal. The species name for its salmon-coloured flowers. This is a winter-grower.
