This member of the Balsaminaceae family was given this name by Piyakaset Suksathan and Kaweesak Keeratikiat in 2009. It is found in Kanchanaburi in the western Thailand, growing in a well drained but rich soil with quite some water and not much sun if any. The caudex can grow to fifteen centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to 20 centimetres in height. The flowers are yellow.
The genera name means 'impatience', referring to the fruits which pops when ripe and touched.
