FAUCARIA GRATIAE

This member of the Aizoaceae family was given this name by Harriet Margaret Louisa Bolus in 1934. It is found in the Mitford Park area in Eastern Cape in South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to three centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to four to eight centimetres in height. The flowers are bright yellow.
