This member of the Euphorbiaceae family was given this name by Susan Carter and John Jacob Lavranos in 1978. It is found in eastern Somalia, growing in a well drained limestone soil with some water and some to lots of sun. The caudex can grow to twelve or even 30 centimetres in diameter, the entire plant from five to 25 centimetres in height. It change through time, from a subglobose juvenile stage to a small shrublet. Cuttings tend to look adult - and a bit strange. The flowers are yellow. The genera is named after Euphorbos, the Greek physician of King Juba II of Numidia. The species name honours Francis "Frank" Horwood, 1924–1987, a British gardener, who re-found the species. A cutting make a different plant. Phopto from Kylesplants.com.
