It seems like it was published as D. bosseranum, but later corrected; added the "i". "Spelling corrected in line with Rec. 60.C.1(d), ICBN 2006"

This member of the Aizoaceae family was described by Wessel Marais in 1979. It is found on Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with little water and lots of sun. The thickened stem can grow to three centimetres in diameter, the little bush can grow to fifteen centimetres height and 30 centimetres in diameter. The flowers are white.

The genera name from delos; visible' and sperma; 'seeds' as the seeds are visible in the capsules. The species name after Jean Marie Bosser, 1922-2013, a French botanist and agricultural engineer who worked extensively in Madagascar and Mauritius.
