CUSSONIA ZULUENSIS

This member of the Araliaceae family was given this name by Rudolf Georg Strey in 1973. It is found in Eswatini, South Africa and Mozambique, growing in a well drained soil with quite some water and some to lots of sun. The stem straightens up by age, loosing the caudex way before it reach the maximum height of ten metres. The flowers are yellowish. The genera is named after Pierre Cusson, 1727-1783, a French physician, botanist and mathematician. The species after the tribe in the area.
