BEGONIA SONDERIANA

This member of the Begoniaceae family was first described by Edgar Irmscher in 1962. It's from the Eastern South Africa, Eswatini and Zimbabwe area. Give it a well-drained soil, some water and quiet some sun. The stems grow six centimetres in diameter and to two meters in height, the flowers are white to pink. It can also be reproduced by cuttings.

The genera name after Michel Bégon, 1638-1710, once a governor of French Haiti. The species name might honour Henry Frederick Conrad Sander,1847-1920, a German-born, English nurseryman and horticulturist.
