ADENIUM DHOFARENSE

This member of the Apocynaceae family was given this name by Alain Rzepecky in 2015. It is found in Dhofar Province; Southern Oman and into the extreme North-East Yemen, growing in grit or another well drained soil with little to some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to 40 centimetres in diameter, the entire plant from one to three centimetres in height - or length. There are three distinctive growing forms; An erect, a hanging and a crawling form The flowers are from white to pink. The genera is n amed after the Yemen city of Aden. The species is named after the area is was found by Lavranos: Dhofar Province in Oman. I might have pictures of it on the Adenium arabicum page, as I were not able to tell them apart without leaves - and I was not aware of this species at that time.
