This member of the Passifloraceae family was given this name by William Grant Craib in 1914. It is found in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, growing in a well drained soil with some water and some sun. The caudex can grow to 25 centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to 25 metres in height. The flowers are light green, hence the Latin species name. I am not convinced about the ID on the photos, as the description say " Leaves simple alternate egg-shaped, gluancous base medium leaf".
The name Adenia is derived from aden, meaning gland, and pertains to the glands found on leaves of most of the species.
The species name means 'green flowers'.
